Celebrating its 25th year in the SoCal High School Classic, the No 4-ranked Oceanside boys soccer team brought home the gold, instead of silver, with a 3-0 victory over Kofa (Yuma, AZ) in the finals of the Showcase West Division at Oceanside High School. Boys hoops takes consolation in TCC tourney

The Oceanside boys  basketball team overcame a first-round loss in the Tri-City Christian Holiday tournament to win the consolation bracket. After losing to eventual champions Holy Martyrs (57-52) on the tourney’s first day, the Pirates went on a three-game streak, defeating Kern Valley (63-12), Alhambra (84-67) and Guajome Park (76-40). Pirates down Cougars in girls basketball

Nevaeh Mageo scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead the Oceanside High School to a 36-33 win over visiting Escondido in non-league action Tuesday night. Zamia Johnson had a double-double in points and rebounds, while  Kealani Miller-Perdue with 13 rebounds for the Pirates who improved to 5-3 overall.
