The Oceanside High School girls varsity volleyball team headed east and came away with some hardware Saturday at the Calvin Christian Tournament.
The Pirates went undefeated through pool play, but couldn’t keep their unbeaten streak in tact, losing in the finals to Tri-City Christian, 25-22, 25-12. Senior outside hitter Nicole Eden was named to the all-tournament team.
OHS improved its overall record to 6-5 with wins over Calvin Christian (2-0), Valley Center (2-0), Calipatria (2-0), and Serra (2-0).
The Pirates take on crosstown rival El Camino Thursday at 3:30 (Frosh and JV) and at 5 p.m. (Varsity).
