Spring sports cancelled; CIF Commissioner makes statement about future of athletics

On Friday, the state CIF met with its 10 section commissioners to decide if spring sports would resume. However, with Gov. Gavin Newsom mandating online learning for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, the commissioners had little choice but to cancel the spring sports season. On Monday, CIF Commission Jerry Schniepp sent out this letter detailing the decision-making
